Description

This course will introduce you to work effort estimation and planning, how it can be approached within an agile team and why it provides value.

Who is it for?

This course is for anyone working in the public or third sectors in Scotland. Although the course is aligned to the DDaT Profession Capability Framework, you do not need to be a DDaT professional to attend. The course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn more about work effort estimation and planning.

What are the benefits?

By attending this course, you will learn:

  • The basics of agile estimation and planning and how we can use them to help prepare a strategy for delivery.
  • How agile estimation and planning can help you size a product backlog and prioritise delivery of what adds most value.
  • How to be able to run sessions to help you estimate and plan your work and be able to identify priorities to help with planning and delivery.
  • A basic understanding of some estimation tools and techniques.

Delivery format

The course is delivered as follows:

  • Online delivery via MS Teams
  • Regular breaks during training

We encourage you to turn on your camera, however this is not a mandatory requirement. If you have any learning requirements, please contact us before the course begins.
