The Scottish Digital Academy announces partnership with Microsoft on cloud training and certification

The Scottish Government, through the Scottish Digital Academy, has officially announced it will form a strategic partnership with Microsoft.

The Scottish Government, through the Scottish Digital Academy, has officially announced it will form a strategic partnership with Microsoft on a new cloud training and certification programme.

Through the development of the support already provided by Microsoft, we will facilitate hands-on training for learning and enhancing digital skills and knowledge of Microsoft and Azure technologies. The Scottish Digital Academy has further developed the partnership and will soon begin offering new interactive courses, role-based training curricula and Microsoft Certifications. This new offer is a central component in our plan to increase digital capability and talent in Scotland.

Those accessing this part of our professional learning offer will benefit from:

  • Microsoft Learn in-depth guided learning paths and interactive, hands-on modules.
  • Microsoft Virtual Training Days events with live moderators supporting attendee questions.
  • Microsoft Delivered Courses and instructor-led training support.
  • Learning Partner Training and virtual classroom based learning.
  • Microsoft Certifications career, recognition, and validation of technical knowledge through accredited Microsoft Certifications.
  • Productivity Workshops upskilling on Office, Power BI and more.

All Scottish Government and executive agency staff can access these resources.

Our service users can select and update their roles in the learning experience platform, making it easier to find relevant training options. The Scottish Digital Academy provides high quality professional learning and agile coaching to support digital skills and leadership across the public and third sectors in Scotland. It is part of the Digital Directorate within the Scottish Government. The professional learning offer is aimed at anyone working in the public and third sectors in Scotland.  The Academy nurtures digital skills, building capacity and capability to support transformation and digital public services.
