Description
This course will introduce you to user story mapping, a technique developed by Jeff Patton, to help teams understand and plan development of products, services and features.
Who is it for?
This course is for anyone working in the public or third sectors in Scotland. Although the course is aligned to the DDaT Profession Capability Framework, you do not need to be a DDaT professional to attend. The course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn more about the use of user stories.
What are the benefits?
By attending the course, you will learn:
- The basics of user story mapping and how we can use it to help inform stakeholders, build empathy with users and make sure you are building the right thing.
- How user story mapping can help you create a product backlog, prioritise delivery of what adds most value, how to identify a minimum viable product (MVP) and be introduced to user stories.
- How to run a user story mapping session and be able to identify priorities to help with planning and delivery.
- The basics of a user story.
