Working with learning providers

We recognise that there are many learning providers working across the public and third sectors in Scotland.

It’s in our interest and in the interest of the wider public sector to engage with the professional learning offer that exists across the technology learning eco-system. We want to reduce duplication and effort and maximise value by developing a programme of assurance which identifies our delivery partners.

This is a new approach to assurance and is still under development. Therefore, at this time assurance and inclusion of supplier / learning provider details is only available to those with an active contract with the Scottish Digital Academy.

Want to work with us?

If you’re a learning provider and you want to work with us, there are some steps that you need to take.

  1. Register with Public Contracts Scotland (PCS)
  2. Register on the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) – Lot 3 Digital Training

A DPS is an electronic system of pre-qualified suppliers, for commonly used purchases from which the Scottish public sector can invite tenders. As a procurement tool, it has some aspects that are similar to a framework agreement. However, it is an electronic process, with opportunities competed for through call-off competition. There is no limit to the number of suppliers that can be on the DPS and suppliers have the ability to apply to join at any time.

When we seek to partner with a learning provider, we will issue an Invitation to Tender (ITT) through the DPS. Upon successful award of a contract, we will feature details on our website.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide grant funding or contracts outwith our official procurement process nor can we provide free services via a third party where there may later be a cost.

For further information, contact Lee Dunn, Head of the Digital Academy.

A dynamic purchasing system follows a similar procurement process to that of a framework agreement.

The service can be used by:

  • central government
  • health
  • local authorities
  • universities and colleges
  • third sector (voluntary organisations and charities registered in Scotland)
  • other public bodies

Note: It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use DTCS DPS to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so.
