Dean Rhodes
Agile Coach, Digital Directorate at the Scottish Government
Dean has been with the Scottish Digital Academy since November 2017.
Dean is an experienced Agile Coach working with the Scottish Digital Academy to deliver agile and digital transformation training, coaching, mentoring and support across the Scottish Government and the Scottish public sector. Dean’s role is to deliver high value training for individuals, teams and organisations to think about how they can work in today’s complex, emerging and fast changing environments supporting them to embed and consolidate new ways of working. He has worked with a range of public sector organisations including Scottish Social Security, East Renfrewshire Council and the National Library of Scotland as well as other teams in Scottish Government and Scottish Local Authorities.
Previously Dean had a background in Department for Work and Pensions disability benefits policy and programme areas including contributing to the development of Personal Independence Payment, briefing Ministers and MPs and preparing responses to Parliamentary Questions. Dean also has experience as a Business Analyst working in high profile digital, agile environments including DWP’s Apply for Personal Independence Payment, Digital Hub Transformation and Digital Talent. He has experience working in different agile environments and good understanding of agile values and principles.
Dean is interested in, and an advocate of, agile and the new ways of working within digital transformation in particular how he can contribute to the delivery of fast paced agile digital projects within both large and small multidisciplinary teams using agile tools and techniques.
